Looking for hope

Rachel is a 16 year old girl that finished high school last year. She has good marks and a dream of being a teacher one day. She comes from a poor family and her chances of going to college is slim to none. She lives in a small community by the beach where not one person had ever attained a post secondary education. The total family income is $150/month, enough to provide for their basic needs.The cost for college is about $600 for the year. Chances are she will not get to go to college without any type of financial aid. Statistically, someone like Rachel would get the low end job $50/month, get married at a young age, have kids and restart the cycle of poverty and hopelessness.

I am reaching out to you friends to find a way to help out Rachel and others like her. It is a great investment for the future generations here in Boracay.
