Today is the Philippines 111th Independence Day. There were no special ceremony here in Boracay apart from the school closure. No parades,no speeches, not even a flag, just another regular day. I promised myself that I will celebrate Canada Day here in Boracay this coming July. I will fly my canadian flag, will wear my maple leaf bandana and my oh canada boxers.
I will sing "O Canada" and make poutine for dinner. I AM CANADIAN.
