Maria, blessings of a thankful heart.

I met this old lady named Maria. She is 70, missing an arm, and I found her begging on the sidewalk. I dropped P100 ($2.50) in her cup and walked away. She started running after me and told me that I might have mistaken my gift to her because this is a lot. I smiled at her and gave her a few more. She was refusing and kept saying " too much" because she feels that she just needed P20 ($0.50)to buy rice for the day. I insisted and she cried, "this will feed me and my grandchild for 2 weeks",she said,saying with a humble and thankful spirit. I held her shoulder and prayed. I went to the beach and cried. I cannot wait for the resort to open up so that I can do more. A lot more. It was said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. Boy, is it ever true.
