One of the staff at the resort was looking for something in the rocks with his flashlight. I asked him what he was doing and he said that he was trying to catch a coconut crab. I've seen and caught a lot of crabs in Vancouver, but I have not seen these kind. These are land crabs that feed on coconuts and leaves. You have to catch them with your bare hands at nighttime. He caught 7 and we had it for a meal. Mmmmm, that is one tasty crab.
