Broken

I was chatting with a young danish gal and a vancouverite about boracay that quickly soured when they found out that I'm a christian. I don't believe in GOD but I only believe in myself, she quipped. I don't believe in nothing, GOD is for people that cannot cope well, the other said. They strugged me off and walked away.I was taken aback by their rude behavior towards me but I prayed for them anyway.

I was enjoying a nice walk along the beach at 11:00pm and saw the same couple. I said good evening and they stopped to apologized for how they reacted earlier. They shared a bit of their broken heart and said " if there is a god, why am i so messed up?"She has been sleeping around to feel loved because her dad walked away from her life. He was a byproduct of child abuse and uses drugs to ease the pain that doesn't seem to go away. They are travelling around asia to find themselves. They asked me if I can pray for them. "just in case there is a real GOD and HE is indeed listening."They have seen a buddhist, a sikh, and many other forms of eastern religion priests but this is the first time that they actually cried their hearts out, to the one they tried to avoid, a christian. I ran back quickly to my home and gave them a bible and encouraged them to read it and hugged them. They left the next day.

There are many locals that need help because they are poor, there are many foreigners that need help because they are "broken".People need the LORD regardless where they come from.
He is the only answer that they are looking for.
